ADDICTION

Seems like such a long time
since she stopped drinking wine.
It was hard, she admits,
and she could not resist
just one “medicinal”
but unforgivable
bottle when she felt low.
But it’s not long to go
when she can drink again.
Amen to Lent. Amen!
